Kersti Niebruegge grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in journalism. She has worked for BBC Worldwide, Conan, and Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Kersti is the author of two comic novels. The most recent novel is The Zonderling, a comedy about an eccentric residential hotel in New York City. Her first book, Mistake, Wisconsin, is a satire of a fishing-obsessed small town in the Northwoods of the Badger State.
Kersti caught her first fish (a walleye) when she was five years old. Much like Tom Hanks in Bosom Buddies, or totally like Grace Kelly in real life, Kersti lived in old-fashioned residential hotels for women when she moved to New York City.
